More confident in her style, Crystal began to add watercolor techniques to her pencil drawings in 2014. The results were tableaus that were more bold and expressive, and her use of color became more poignant as well, with deep indigo tones and soulful blue shades casting her work in a new light. The fairytale motif was still present, but everything became stronger and more self-assured than before.
